I bought a pay as you go mobile from my local Tesco store which developed a fault shortly after purchase. I returned the phone as per instructions from Tesco Mobile repairs with a full description of the fault.
The phone was returned to me with a letter saying it was repaired but the fault was still there. To cut a long story short I had to send the phone back twice more without any improvement to the phone although Tesco claimed the fault was fixed.
After weeks of hassle I had to get a Tesco manager involved who arranged an exchange for a new phone. All contact with the repairs department was useless and I was just told what I wanted to hear.
